Aoyama - Candle

Aoyama - Candle

Evoking the quiet refinement of Tokyo’s Aoyama district, Aoyama Candle captures the comforting atmosphere of an old wooden Japanese home. The scent recalls damp timber, soft incense and the crisp freshness of freshly laundered linen drifting through serene interiors.

Elegant notes of patchouli suggest the richness of aged wood, while smoked tones of lignum vitae and vetiver add depth and warmth. A subtle touch of clove lends gentle spice, balanced by hinoki wood and a cool moss accord that enhances the impression of clean, tranquil air. The result is understated and deeply calming, like stepping into a peaceful, wood-lined space where time slows.

Each Astier de Villatte candle is crafted from a plant-based wax blended with a touch of beeswax, free from paraffin and petrochemical derivatives for a clean, even burn. Poured into hand-blown Tuscan glass, it offers approximately 60 to 70 hours of beautifully diffused fragrance.

OLFACTIVE NOTES

Clove, Lignum Vitae, Vetiver, Patchouli, Hinoki Wood, Moss

ADDITIONAL INFO

ABOUT THE BRAND

Designers of furniture and white ceramics Ivan Pericoli and Benoît founded their company, Astier de Villatte, in 1996 in association with friends and family. Successor to the parisian manufactures of the 18th century, satire de village is now the only major studio to keep the tradition of artisanal ceramic production in Paris alive.

In 2000, they opened the boutique at 173 rue Saint Honoré, which also presented their other creations for the home: titanium cutlery, borosilicate glassware and above all the wonderful collection of traditionally printed notebooks.

In 2008 they decided to join forces with a big name from the perfume world and together begin creating luxury scented goods. Working with their associates Emilie Massed and Françoise Caron, the star pefumer at Takasago (a Japanese fragrance company) Astier de Villatte's range of scented products was born.
